The structure of open spaces renews my sense of wonder with each print’s exploration of nature’s beauty, harshness, and regenerative properties. These woodcuts were made on site in Wyoming, Manitoba, Canada, and Coastal Maine. Additional Prints drawn at my local transfer station pose questions about what we collect and why. Their random juxtaposition forms a signature of current culture, and titled with latitude/longitude lines they invite us, as amateur future archaeologists to wonder: what do these “middens” reveal about the people who once used them?
